Shiny Video Interview: Michael Mueller with the new Dell XPS M1330 and colourful Dell Inspiron range

Ah, it's a hard life being a technology journalist... schlepping all the way to Marbella's 30 degree sunshine... What am I saying?! Dell chose this setting for the European launch of the new XPS and Inspiron ranges, and I can tell you they're attempting a major image overhaul. It's all about appealing design, with the Inspiron even being presented to us as a fashion show. Dell's research has told them that the appearance of our laptops is as much a part of our individuality as the spec configuration we choose. As a result, they've gone for a simple, attractive (if somewhat conservative) approach. Michael Mueller, Dell's Notebook Product Marketing Manager, talked me through the main features of the Inspiron range; a video detailing the XPS is on its way.
