These headsets are made for heavy duty, for serious gamers only. Designed with games like Counterstrike and WarCraft Battlefield in mind, they shave milliseconds off reaction times, giving the gamer the crucial edge. The PC 151 closed-back model says ‘Don’t mess with me; the game is more real to me than you are right now.’ They shut off all sound and the gamer can only hear the game. Don’t even bother offering a cup of tea – you won’t be heard, and if you were, you’d be a nuisance. The PC 161 closed back model lets in a bit of background noise, and says, ‘I’d like to pretend I’m still with you. I can umm and ahh in the right parts of your monologue. I still don’t want a cup of tea though.’
Both models are available with or without USB for VoIP, podcasting and any computer voice functions you might care to drag yourself away from the gaming for. With extra-thick cables, mic stabilisers, deep bass response and a dangerously loud maximum volume of 118dB, they’re only for very important, serious games.

I have the Sennheiser PC150 (for work) and the new Sennheiser PC 151 (for home), and I'm very satisfied with them. The sound quality for gaming and for Skype is great. Sennheiser made the headphones less constrictive with the PC151 model, which will please people with larger heads.
