MySpace takes on YouTube with MySpace TV

myspace_logo-thumb.jpgA MySpace service you don't have to be a member to use? Unheard of. And yet the New York Times has been reporting on the imminent relaunch of a separate MySpace TV video service, which tacks small ads onto video clips.

MySpace users should also be able to create TV channels, with new ways to embed video into their pages (because annoying music and fuzzy YouTube clips aren't enough). Video editing and mashups also seem to be part of what's promised. Watch this space for more information.
