Fed up with social networking customisation (yes, I mean you, MySpace)? Suffer no more with Virb

virb%20page%20eg.jpgVirb is a staggeringly good idea. In a time when MySpace has taken the noisy customisation cake (scattering crumbs all over the floor and rubbing them into the upholstery) and Facebook is quickly running after it, Virb is creating the ultimate compromise.

1. Create your site for photos, music, blogging etc. Use the gorgeous default templates, or roll up your sleeves and get stuck into a little HTML (no JavaScript allowed, though).

2. View other people's pages. Customisation irking you? Turn it off!

Whilst customisation is a complete doddle (picking colours from a spectrum, choosing from 5 listed fonts), it's the subtle "remove customisation" button that lets you footle around the network with ease, with no fear of being assailed by Marilyn Manson or blinded by that fetching pink-on-black type combo that's designed to fine-tune a migraine.

That's it. I'm definitely campaigning for a Shiny Shiny Virb page. Long may it live!
