We're used to phone manufacturers creating cellphones for the female market purely by painting them pink, but now they're at it with home phones, too. The Doro 525 Pink is intended to combat "dull looking" home phones, say Doro, who've done their homework on this one, and have discovered that 71% of UK home owners apparently consider their phones o be "forgettable, dull and outdated". It's a desperate situation for the poor old beleaugured cordless phone, but Doro have come to its rescue, giving it this pink spray job and a range of features including six preinstalled ring tones, redial memory, caller ID, keypad lock and pager function. It has 100 hours standby, 10 hours talk time, and will work up to 300 metres from the base station when outside, and 50 metres when indoors.
