Tribute website apologises for innappropriate Google Ads

google_adsense_logo_350.gifThe Leeds-based "tribute" website www.gonetoosoon.co.uk has been ruffling a few feathers lately, as the Google ads that have been popping up on the site have been a bit inappropriate. For example, you can imagine that people were a bit upset when an ad for a motorcycle popped up on a tribute page for a man who died in a motorbike crash. *cringe* The creator of the website, nightclub owner Terry George, said that he would remove the adverts, and that the the only reason he added the advertisements to begin with, was so that the website could remain free to its users. George, however, didn't realize how exactly Google Ads work. In response, he's received tons of complaints, and has since posted an apology on his website, and says he'll be meeting with his "IT staff" today to sort out the issue. However, if George actually has an IT staff, and they didn't think that putting Google Ads on a tribute website would be trouble, I'm a tad bit worried as to the outcome of the site.
