Smoking kills, folks. You know it, I know it - even smokers know it. Does it stop them? Why no, it does not. Not even all of those "SMOKING CAUSES CANCER!" warnings on the front of the packets can convince some hardened puffers that actually, that extra ciggie isn't such a great idea, so designer Fiona Carswell is hoping this jacket will do the job instead. Created with a pair of "lungs" on the front, the collar of the jacket pulls in exhaled smoke, making the lungs blacken over time. The end result is apparently pretty darn ugly, with the idea being that the jacket's wearer will be so repulsed by the sight that they'll stub out the cigarette. The problem here? How on earth do we persuade smokers to wear it?
