It's a DRM-kind of day, people. Deal with it. The latest reports, from those guys over on Tech Digest, has revealed that it's possible to get an MP3 copy of Paul McCartney's latest warblings, 'Memory Almost Full' for about the price of a single DRM'd up iTunes song. Despite the fact that it's not released yet. And despite the fact that it was going to be one of the first albums available on iTunes Plus and was going to be an ex-Beatles-shaped feather in their cap.
No one is sure if it's legal, but the site, MP3City, is similar to AllofMP3, the Russian site which got shut down recently, which takes Mastercard and Visa, and appears to be legit. The ruling on AllofMP3 has been compared to the shutting down of Napster, which rather than stopping file sharing, just created a glut of alternative sites.
If you want to get your hands on the album, you'd better move fast. Faster than Paul McCartney's lawyers.

ALLOFMP3's site has not been "shut down". It's up and running as good as ever.
