Although Microsoft’s MP3 player, the Zune, has been available in pink in the US since the start of May, if you have already splashed out on a non-pink version and are cursing your impatience, there is another way to get that rose hue. Colorware provide skins in a variety of colours, of which pink is of course a prominent one, although you do have to send your beloved Zune away to have this life-changing operation. A new skin for your Zune costs $74 while a brand new Zune, choice of colour included, costs $325 (a rip off, since regular brown, white or black Zunes are available for under $200, but at least you get it delivered to your door).

Colourware don’t stop there, offering to change the lives of iPods, XBoxes, and all other sorts of colour-inhibited equipment. Have a look at the website – you could have all your electronics undergoing major cosmetic surgery before you know it!

I'm not sure I'd call what Colorware does a skin, exactly - they actually PAINT your devices. Their work is reportedly outstanding, as if the device actually came in that color originally. It's not a sticker or a sleeve - your Zune (Xbox, iPod, etc) actually BECOMES your chosen color.
