Canon extends Selphy range to print in style

canon_selphy_cp750.jpgCanon has added two new compact printers to their sleek Selphy range. The CP 740 and CP 750 share a shape that's faintly reminiscent of a Mac mini, with a preview screen at the top, which is 2" across for the 740 and 2.4" for its more expensive sibling.

Both printers are A5 size, so decently portable, with automatic red-eye correction, improved skin tone reproduction, long-lasting print quality and of course direct printing from all common types of memory card. For £79, that makes the Selphy 740 a reasonably cost-effective printer too. So what does the 750 have to offer for £60 more?

For its £139 price tag, the Selphy 750 adds a host of handy features like image trimming, sepia and black and white effects, increased My Colours functionality and support for infrared communication.

Print is high-gloss, with a protective layer and a reproduction range of up to 16.8 million colours. Seeing as I'd still rather print out the select few really good photos from each epic batch I shoot than have a digital photo frame, it sounds like good news to me.
