I'm over in Milan at the moment and I can exclusively reveal that it's absolutely pissing it down. But I'm not here to enjoy the weather, oh no, I'm here to take a look at Acer's new laptop designs. Now this may not sound all that exciting to the likes of you or me, but the Acer team were beside themselves with excitement last night when they showed off the two new chassis concepts. With much fanfare and ceremony they slowly raised the covers to reveal two laptops sitting on plinths.
I couldn't actually get to the machines themselves, but I shot this video which should give you an idea of what they looked like (more pics to come). I should point out that everyone was expecting a notebook that looked like a large pebble, thanks to Acer's teaser campaign, so there was a faint feeling of disappointment in this writer's heart (despite my excitement on camera).
Absolutely beautiful laptop. It would be interesting to find out if the specs match up to the design. Looking forward to hear more about it from this blog as I'm currently looking for a upgrade to my Ferrari 4000 laptop.
