Forget breaking up, waking up is really the thing that's hard to do. Particularly if you're awoken by some rubbish ringtone Nokia or Sony Ericsson has chosen to suggest as a suitable piece for your ears first thing in the morning. Much more pleasant is being able to choose a track off your iPod - something soothing like Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah, inspiring like Eye of the Tiger or just something loud i.e. anything from AC/DC. And the new iPod alarm clock from Logic3 can help you do just that.

It features an iPod dock which will charge your 'pod as it sits there, two alarms, so that you can have a 'Time to get up' and a 'OK, now it's *really* time to get up' alarm, snooze, and a remote, so you can hit snooze, without having to ever actually hit snooze. Best of all, it's only £69.99, which is really pretty cheap.

OR, you could just set one of the mp3s on your Nokia to use as an alarm. The way of the future is to have phone, camera and mp3 player in one unit. Ipods are old-fashioned - Apple just isn't aware of it yet. (and yes, alright, its early in the morning here and I'm suffering from a caffeine deficiency which is making me grumpy. However I firmly declare that phones like my beloved Nokia N73 are the way to go, and all these manufacturers producing infinite quantities of Ipod junk are just wasting the world's resources and adding to the techno-junk problem. So there.)
