I'm dubious as to the authenticity of this announcement as it was published yesterday, April Fool's Day, so for now best treat it as a rumour. A really delicious rumour which I hope comes true! Browserden has leaked rumours involving a Microsoft Zune upgrade, with the Zune 360 being a widescreen video and music player available in 40 and 80 GB models and controlled by touch screen technology with built-in handwriting recognition and a stylus, enabling you to search for music in your library. The second model, a mobile phone/MP3 player hybrid, will be called Zune 180 and is a collaboration between Microsoft and Sony Ericsson, based on their Walkman W880 mobile. It will be able to store up to 2 GB of removable flash-based storage and bluetooth compatible. According to the rumour, the Zune 360 will be launched worldwide in June, and the Zune 180 will be trickle-launched slowly. Obviously this may indeed by a not-very-obvious April Fool's joke and I've outed myself as a gullible moron, but what do you think? What would you like to see in a new Zune? (via Browserden).

This has been covered in a lot of sites. I think that the rumour is genuine and Microsoft are planning an upgrade to the zune just as browserden stated.
