ITV has sucked it up and apologized for the near 10,000 text replies that were lost during a quiz competition on Vernon Kay's Gameshow Marathon this past weekend. The "boo-boo" happened Saturday night, and affected about 8% of the show's entries to win a prize. However, IVF claim the problem was "isolated" and that, "A small proportion of entries into the competition on last Saturday's Gameshow Marathon were unfortunately not counted in time to be included in the competition draw." Erm 10,000 texts sounds like a lot to me. Apparently, those of you who were screwed out of winning a nifty prize were entered into another second prize draw of "equal value". See, this is why I never participate in this stuff. This is also why shopping by text makes me a wee bit nervous.
