Blaupunkt's addition to the lifestyle-loving GPS range, a combination MP3 player and satnav, is the pocket-sized TravelPilot Lucca series.
A nifty MP3 / WMA player which also functions as a picture viewer, the Lucca 3.3 has a 512MB memory, with 2D or 3D navigational maps. Straightforward stuff, but the 5.2 steals the bells and adds some definite whistles.
The 4" touchscreen can also be used to play videos via SD card or by linking to a DVD player or iPod video. A much increased 2GB memory and an integrated tuner which picks up and processes TrafficMaster traffic information are among the extra features.
Both models have an available Smart Cradle accessory which can play MP3s through the car stereo, iTrip style.
There's a hefty rise in price from the 3.3 at £129.99 to £329.99 for the 5.2, however.
