Sony's Blu-Ray BDP-1SE player; video preview

I shot this video just before we left to fly back to the UK yesterday, I was feeling slightly the worse for wear after a night spent dancing on the streets of Rhodes Old Town, which is why I keep saying "shoot" when I mean play/record. The BDP-1SE will show 24p (ie 24 frames a second) which is the same speed that film movies are shot in. This means you don't get that strange juddery motion you can get on some movies (the film on TV runs "4% faster than the original, and the soundtrack rises by 4% in pitch" we're told). Obviously, you'll also need a TV that can play back 24 frames a second, and by sheer fluke, Sony also announced that its new BRAVIA D3000 series will have that capability. What are the chances of that happening, eh? Guide price of £899 in the UK.
