I was once in the company of a very old man having his first meeting with a computer. In the naiveté of youth, I didn’t anticipate that he would be baffled by the instruction, ‘Click on that.’ Yes, there are people in the world who do not know how to click on something. They do not know that the mouse moves the arrow! And the MusII mouse, while intended to be a designer gimmick, is actually a tool to help the aged understand the link between mouse and cursor.
It is a mouse, in the *shape* of an arrowhead cursor! Simple as that! It fits under your hand just like a regular mouse, so it shouldn't cause any usability problems, and its plastic surface is said to feel like thick suede to the touch. MusII is cordless, with a 2m operating radius, and has the two mouse buttons at the point of the arrow. MusII will be both Windows- and Mac-compatible, and will be available soon.
