Michael Jackson may not believe 'it don't matter if you're black or white', but obviously Microsoft do, as they've just confirmed a rumour that has circulated the intertubes for some time now, that they are releasing a black Xbox 360, dubbed 'Elite'. Not only has it changed in colour, but now comes with a whopping 120GB hard drive, HDMI port, HDMI cable, and a few other bits and bobs for the discerning gamer who enjoys their visual candy. It will be available in the wild plains of the US on April 29th for $479.99 - as a comparison, when the Premium 360 first launched in the US, it was $399.99, so not that bad a price-jump for all the extra treats. Al over on Tech Digest mentioned it's still lacking an HD DVD player though, so you'll have to fork out an extra $199 to be able to play those high-def DVDs that always look so appealing in the shops.
UPDATE: Games Industry have spoken to HMV in the UK, who have confirmed the Elite will be launched late Summer here. Huzzah!
