For avid MSN geeks like myself, the news that Microsoft have just launched a brand new version of the popular chat program is simply The. Best. News. EVER!!!1!!1! To tie in with the release of Vista, they've created Messenger 8.1. To me it looks almost identical to the predecessor, but they've added in a few nifty features, including roaming identities (where your display name and picture remain the same wherever you go); the contact cards have been updated; the menus for emoticons, winks, backgrounds and display pictures have been improved; you can now send your contact picture as an emoticon and report abuse; plus a whole bunch of other features. Take a gander at the Inside Windows Live Messenger blog, written by the people who created it, for all the added bonuses of upgrading. Ch@t 2 u $oon, n00b$!!1!!11!
