USB heated mice. Oh yes.

thanko-releases-usb-warmer-mouse-to-warm-up-your-hands_38.jpgIt's freezing in England today, even though most of last night's snow is but a distant memory. And due to one of my office mates being convinced that the room smells like mushrooms, we're often stuck with the window open to air out the room. No heating, as apparently that's where the smell comes from. So as I work I freeze, and my extensive collection of thick jumpers hasn't helped at all.

So when I discovered the concept of a USB heated mouse, I did a happy dance around the room. The upper of Thanko's heated mouse warms your mouse hand, and is plug and play, with the usual two click buttons and a scroll wheel. The heating function works via an on-off switch, so there's no need to worry about sweaty palms when summer finally rolls around. It's available for $23, and I'm ordering one now.

That's my right hand taken care of - what about a heated keyboard?

there's also a heated mouse available at http://www.heatedmouse.net - shipping from Europe, not Hong Kong :-)

Ooh, thanks for the tip!

I live in the US and can't seem to find one that ships here. The heatmouse.net website only ships to Europe. Any suggestions?

I've had a quick look and not turned anything up, I'm afraid. Your best bet would probably be to beseech a European friend or someone visiting Europe to buy one for you.
