CES 2007: Samsung launch new MP3 players, the K3 and the T9

Samsung have expanded their line of MP3 players today at CES. Whilst we've had the K5 in the UK for a while, the new K3 (left) is based on the same model but comes without the slide out speakers. This reduces the width to 0.27 inches, whilst still using the blue touch pad for controls, and the OLED screen found in the K5. It's got a battery life of 25 hours, and comes in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB flavours.

Read on for the lowdown on the T9, which includes Bluetooth.

The T9 is a multimedia player, featuring video playback, photo viewer, text viewer FM radio and recorder and flash gaming. The T9B has Bluetooth included, so you can listen without wires. There's also an inbuilt microphone, so when a call comes in, you can answer it and use the MP3 player as a microphone. I can't help but think you may as well fish out your phone and answer it in the old skool way, since you're going to be holding the MP3 player to your mouth anyway. And why they didn't put the microphone in the headset is completely beyond me. (Note: Samsung, I am available for consultation at a very reasonable rate).

Both versions come in 2GB and 4GB, with the T9 available now, and the T9B availability to be announced later in the year.
