There's a growing variety of USB light sources out there: standard lamp with shade types, candy-coloured lamps with fans, lava lamps, and now this blue, cathode bulb USB Tech Lamp from Think Geek. I realize variety is the spice of life - and that there is a strong inherent need for some of us to decorate our workspace in such a way as to stress our individuality and overall geekiness - but is the lighting in most office spaces so bad that it necessitates using up an entire USB port for? If we start using USB ports for the staples of office work, where are we supposed to plug in our USB slippers and gloves?
