The Sharp TU-R160H is a digital TV recorder (PVR) with 160GB hard drive and twin tuner, so you can record one Freeview channel and watch another. Unlike with some models, you can record subtitles, and there is also a picture-in-picture feature (so you can keep an eye on the footie score whilst watching The Sopranos, for example). Plus, the TU-R160H has a unique internal design which eliminates the need for a noisy cooling fan.
The PVR is priced at £199, which doesn't seem too steep for 80 hours of recording time...
