Mo-Pets: Digital Pets for Your Mobile

phone.jpgAre you a lover of digital pets? Finding that the Tamogatchi on a keychain is not challenging enough for you? Or perhaps you're distressed because there's no way to make it look like you're doing something useful while you're actually playing Nintendogs? Enter Mo-Pets; digital pets for your mobile phone. Pet owners will be able to interact with, train, and even make it work for it's living by trotting it out in competition with other Mo-Pet owners on a local, state or national level.

Unlike real pets (and Tamogatchis), Mo-Pets never die. In addition, if they bore you, you can change them out whenever you'd like. Mo-Pets aren't limited to the standard cat or dog either - one may, according to their press release, "adopt a young, impressionable cat, dog, ferret or monkey." I'm a bit concerned by the term "impressionable," as it suggests that one might train their Mo-Pet to roll-up their sleeves to hold a pack of cigarettes, or maybe to hotwire a car. (Please note that there is no indication of there being a Mo-Pet Hooligan Trainer minigame. It exists only in my twisted imagination.) I have always wanted a monkey, though.
