Gemma and I went along to an event recently where we had a chat with the people behind Beau Visage, a contraption that enables you to see just what sun damage has been done to your skin. I volunteered and they managed to take the picture at the wrong moment and make me look like Nanny McPhee. Fortunately I won't be sharing that with you, you'll have to make do with this nice lady instead.
Firstly a picture is taken of your face and it is then translated into what is really going on with your face up to 2mm in depth. Facial maps zoom in on blood, thread veins, melanin and sun damage. The idea is that you are able to identify problem areas before they are visible to the eye and identify products that can be used to combat the effects then see if it is working later. Seeing for yourself is much better than hoping your beauty therapist isn't reciting a textbook to you in order to sell pricey, useless creams.
It's only available in medi-spas for around £100 per consultation.
