Unlike Josh (Tom Hank's character in Big), I was never in any hurry to summon adulthood. And now that's it's come unbidden, I rather wish I could behave a kid again. Hence why the Zoltar fortune telling machine appeals to some kitschy part of me. For $500, Zoltar can sit smugly in your game room, parlour, bar or boardwalk area, dispensing bits of paper wisdom for a quarter a pop. (2,000 fortune cards are included with the machine...and although it would not doubt be considered cheating to go through and stack them in your favour, I certainly wouldn't be above it.)
Please note that Hammacher Schlemmer is selling Zoltar as a fortune-telling machine - not as an enchanted, wish-granting device - so don't blame the animatronic genie if no cold wind blows in the night to bring you your deepest, darkest, whispered desire to fruition.
