Star gazers can turn their home into a star studded planterium with annotated projections of the constellations cast 360 degrees onto walls and ceilings. You can use it outdoors too as a 3D star map. It comes with CD audio tours to take you through what you're seeing and apparently you can create your own meteors and comets too. Using the dials on the globe, there's the option to set the star guide to any date and time to see exactly what the stars were doing. For the price it's not going to be a big wow for the grown-ups but as a starter set for kids, it should do the trick. It's powered by 5xAAA batteries and costs £24.90
