If you've ever wanted a pet but circumstances have stopped you getting one, I have the solution for you. Its name is Miuro (although you can call it Frank, Bob, or whatever you want, really) and it's an iPod Robot. Yes, an iPod robot. As well as playing music (either from its on-board iPod, or streaming from your PC), this little fella will follow you around the house and will even roll backwards and forwards excitedly, in an approximation of "dancing". Sweet!
Details about the iPod robot are pretty scant at the moment because, well, the website's in Japanese, but rumour has it that it costs around $900 and will be released worldwide next year. And, unlike a real pet, you don't have to clean up after it, either.
