Spaghetti ice cream is very popular in germany, and delicious too. They have it in many different flavors, with of course, strawberry being the most popular. (Although i prefer nutella or kiwi)
What an amazing idea - and so simple too. Bet kids would love it (not that they really need an added incetive to eat icecream, mind).
