One Minute Video Review: Acer Ferrari laptop

Comments (1)

Are car manufacturers going a bit dolally with all this co-branding on our technology goodies? I look at the Acer Ferrari 1000 laptop, complete with F1 style sound effects.

Great video Susi but you missed quite a bit of the plusses of this notebook, what's behind it and what it can do.

I can understand that it might not be your thing, but I'd much rather lug this around than a two-and-a-half ton Bentley ultraportable, even if the Bentley brand is ranked higher on your guys' cool list ;-)

The whole concept of the Acer/Ferrari co-branding project is that it gives Acer the possibility to explore new alleys, introduce new technologies and turn the otherwise dreary IT world on its head.

And if you look at the arrival of the Asus Lamborghini, Koenigsegg or even the mad-looking/sounding Lenovo F20 iCoke notebooks, obviously the co-branding concept was interesting enough to catch on.

BTW, the Bluetooth adapter on the Acer 1000 is built in. What you show is a Bluetooth enabled VoIP phone that allows you to make free Internet calls without you having to lean over at daft angles trying to yell into the microphone!

Still, love the videos!
Michael

PS What co-branding project would you recommend for girls?
