When I first saw the Hansacanyon illuminated water faucets I thought they were a simple gimmick intended to insert LEDs into yet another curious and pretty, but useless, venue. Then I realized that the colour of the light correlates to the temperature of the water: blue being coldest, red being hottest, and lavender being somewhere in between. Finally, a way to tell if your Goldilocks water temperature (this water is too hot! now it's cold!) is just right without scalding off your scalp or freezing off your fingers.
