Hansacanyon faucets change water colour depending on temperature

When I first saw the Hansacanyon illuminated water faucets I thought they were a simple gimmick intended to insert LEDs into yet another curious and pretty, but useless, venue.  Then I realized that the colour of the light correlates to the temperature of the water: blue being coldest, red being hottest, and lavender being somewhere in between.  Finally, a way to tell if your Goldilocks water temperature (this water is too hot!  now it's cold!) is just right without scalding off your scalp or freezing off your fingers.  (Pardon the appalling alliteration.)  [GT]
