Canon's pink Digital IXUS i7 zoom (and blue and brown and grey)

Digital cameras have been getting a bit big for my liking of late. Sure, they're cramming in those megapixels, but when it comes to my little compact point and click, I want it to be.. well... compact. Thankfully, Canon's still keeping the flame of tiny digital compacts burning with cameras like this little 7.1-megapixel IXUS i7 zoom, which comes in four colours: denim blue, steel grey, sepia and sizzling pink. The 2.4x optical zoom lens is probably a little under what you'd normally expect, but this is one of those cameras that you sling in a bag so you can snap drunken nights out, not so you can create poster-sized close ups of your favourite band at gigs.

Canon seems to realise this as well, which is why it comes with face recognition for up to nine people, so you can get group shots in focus even when "tired and emotional". Yours for £250 from December onwards.
