A designer torch for your designer blackout

Torches to me have always summoned up images of Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. And if that means nothing to you, you're a lucky, lucky person. You missed backpacks that weight nine tenths of your body weight, soggy sleeping bags and ordinance survey maps. And torches where the height of glamour was a mini-maglite in purple. But not anymore.
Gabriele Pezzini has decided that torches don't need to be so ugly the only home for them is under the sink, and instead, thinks we should not accept anything but the prettiest torches. In addition, this has two torch functions (what's that you say? You can't think of more than one thing that a torch can do?). One end provides a soft candle like glow, whilst the other has a strong LED beam. They're available from Moma for $34. [Via Popgadget]
