The Lavnav is a light that you put in your bathroom which will provide a 'gentle glow' rather than a full on 100W bulb when you need the loo in the night. I'll also glow red or green depending on the position of the toilet seat.
I'll be honest. I began writing this post ready to discuss how ridiculous this was. But then I remembered going to the loo at 3am last night (we won't go into the fact that I'm 40 years too young for this to be happening) and the light was too bright. And I've never been unfortunate enough to mistake the position of the toilet seat, but if I did, I'd be buying this quicker than you can say "get the mop". So, in fact, not such a stupid gadget after all.
