Gadgets for Parents Who Can Use Some Shut-Eye

Comments (1)

Zaky9_2_1 Nothing replaces a parent's love and affection, but gosh if technology isn't going to try. Lullabub offers a $229 remote-controlled, crib-rocking solution, which will rock the crib at one of four speeds:  mothers womb, mother's heartbeat,  drive in the car, or boat on the water, without requiring parents to take a fussy baby out of bed (or even get out of bed themselves). And in case you're worried that babies not rocked by hand aren't getting the physical attention they need, there's always the (slightly creepy) Zaky hands (pictured),  pillows designed to  "mimic the size, weight, touch, and feel" of a parental hand, which you could put inside the robotically-rocked crib.

(Yes, I know, it's easy for me to be glib, having never been kept awake all night by a crying infant. I've actually known quite a few folks who would find these to be lifesavers. Or, at least sleep savers, which, as I understand from new parents, is very near the same thing.)
