Try, if you can, to ignore the fact that this gadget is (a) white and (b) has a name that starts with an inexplicable lower case "i" because it does not, in fact, have anything to do with a certain music player. The iSharpener is a $10, USB-powered pencil sharpener which has flashing LEDs that flash while the pencil is sharpening because..well..I suppose because it can.
Yes, it has a silly name. And yes, it has needless LED lights. However, this may be the first goofy USB device I might find useful, since I've gone all crossword puzzle crazy after having seen Wordplay, and believe you me, I'm nowhere near ready to start doing the puzzles in pen.
