Samsung have unveiled their 'New Vision' for digital cameras, in the form of 3 very sleek and sophisticated-looking compacts, the NV7 OPS, NV10 and NV3.
The NV7 OPS (£299, right) gives us a whopping 7x zoom along with 7.2mp inside a matte black shell. You have the choice of going totally automatic, semi-automatic (you're only shooting pictures, mind), or fully manual to make the most of your surroundings. Also included is Optical Picture Stabilisation and Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) designed to keep your pics as pin-sharp as possible.
The NV10 (£279) on the left here combines a 3x zoom with 10 megapixels, making your pictures ideal for massive prints or allowing you to crop your pictures aggressively to get the subject exactly where you want it. This also has ASR, so hopefully your crops will also be sharp as if had they been taken full-frame.
Finally they have released a much slimmer version without the big lens, which includes a music and video player (in case your phone doesn't do that for you already), called the NV3 (£229). This also has a large number of megapixels, at 7.2, and a sizeable 2.5" LCD screen.
