Speaking as someone with severe allergies (to the point where a perfumed person walking too close to me can make me faint) I'm always happy to see new technology for controlling dust mites in a way that doesn't involve spraying them with even-more-toxic chemicals. LG is specifically targeting people like me with its new Allergy Care line. Outfitted with a washable HEPA filter (which is much more lovable than the kind that has to just be binned every so often) and an antibacterial cannister treated with something called Nano-Silver to keep it under control, the LG Allergy Care sez it keeps 99.5% of dust safely in the vacuum where it belongs, instead of just spewing it into the air like so many other vacuums do. No price yet, but I wait with unabridged enthusiasm. [GT]
