MTV have hopped onto the social networking bandwagon by launching Flux. By the looks of it, it's a combination of MySpace, MSN Messenger, and audience participation. From 1st August, you can register on MTVFlux and create your profile, complete with Manga style walking graphic. You can also design your own and upload it.
The more time you spend talking to people on Flux, or 'fluxing' as the press release says, the more time your graphic then spends on the MTV Flux TV channel. You also increase your influence in deciding what's played.
Whether this time next year we'll be saying "I can't possibly talk right now, I'm fluxing" remains to be seen.
