Motorola expnd lne wth KRZR, RIZR nd RAZR MAXX
Motorola have today announced a number of new phones, which are all missing vital vowels, so they must be good.
Starting from the left, the KRZR K1 (what exactly does this stand for? Comments please?) is 1 cm thinner than the original RAZR, which officially makes it the Nicole Richie of mobiles. For this, you get stereo Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera and a MicroSD slot.
Next along is the RAZR MAXX, which is a 3G and HSDPA phone for superspeedy downloads. It's got a 2 megapixel camera on the front, as well as a camera mounted above the screen for easy video calling. Don't get me started on how often this will actually be used.
Finally, you've got the RIZR, which is Motorola's first slider phone. Again, there's a 2 megapixel camera, EDGE support and stereo Bluetooth.
Expect to be craving these phones some time September.

Might KRZR be Motorolese for "cruiser"?

fyi, video calling is currently available in Singapore -- my preteen niece and nephew use it. *jealous* it's been pretty useful to them.

One *centimeter* thinner?

I interpreted KRZR as 'crazer'...maybe it's meant to be like some kind of Rorschach test using capital letters instead of ink-blots.

Jenn: You've made me wonder, so it's today's Yay or Nay question. There are lots of 3G phones around in the UK that can do it, but I've never actually seen anyone USE it. Maybe it'll never leave Singapore?

There are Motorola KRZR K1 and Motorola K1c.
luckily i found a webpage
Compare Motorola KRZR K1 and Motorola K1c
that talks about the difference about these two models. Motorola really knows how to make money

ScarlettSusi: Well, I'm guessing the phone companies are trying to figure out ways of integrating it into their service, making sure it's secure/unhackable, and still allowing (well, at least here in the U.S.) each company to have it's own edge against its competitors (I think Verizon's trying to gain it first; albeit still in the video downloads-phase). Also, with internet calling services like Skype nowadays and Apple releasing their video conferencing capabilities in their new MacBooks I think EVENTUALLY we will head that way.
