Hoverstop Mouse
It is said that one should take frequent breaks while working on the computer in order to avoid dangers like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (or the crone-like curve I swear my mouse hand is developing). The Hoverstop Mouse won't necessarily pull you away from the monitor or encourage you to get up and walk away every once in awhile, but it will monitor if you're actually using the mouse while you've got your fingers clutched around it. If it senses your hand has been on the mouse and idle for more than ten seconds, it will vibrate slightly to prompt you to remove your hand from the mouse and let it rest.
The Hoverstop is plug and play, compatible with most systems, and is available from Think Geek for $69.99.
