Every so often I get frustated that manufacturers seem to think slapping some Swarovski crystals on their product, offering it in pink, or partnering it with Hello Kitty is enough to make a gadget appeal to the female market (no offense meant towards Hello Kitty, of course, who I believe is now the Patron Saint of Girly Gadgets). And whereas all those things are fine and lovely, it's about time manufacturers learn that women are saavy gadget users who look for features over frills. (The frills are just a nice bonus, when we can get them.) Which is why I have to give mobile manufacturer CKT some credit for their 6689 clamshell phone which is decidedly targeted at the female market....at least I assume it is. I don't know too many fellas who are interested tracking menstrual cycles - which is one of the features the CK6689 has built in.
According to Phoney World, other features include an MP3 player, a 2 megapixel camera, a color screen, and the ability to transfer files via USB...all of which would make it, if not outstanding, at least functional for both genders. But somehow I don't see the boys going for this one.

Weirdly enough I found that some men must be; interested in tracking menstrul cycles that is, and obviously for nefarious reasons. I used to have a UIQ smartphone and one piece of sharewarr was something called SIMON, which tracked menstrul cycles but from a mans point of view, however I found it quite handy if somewhat misogenous.....
Needless to say I now have a Nokia E61 and am waiting for the software developers to catch up.
Are you kidding? If this gadget is useful for someone it's the boys. I would pay billions to know when I must *not* make some kinda jokes or when it's better to stay quiet. The gals know all they need by just marking their calendars.
I agree this is more for the boys rather than the girls!
