We heard about UV meters a few weeks ago here on Shiny, and apparently the recent weather has made these things mighty tricky to get hold of. Luckily, the forecast looks like it's going to give suppliers a chance to restock before our next bit of sun sometime in 2008.
However, for those optimists out there the Solestrom Smartswim UV Bikini might be worth a look. It measures the UV rays and calculates how long you can spend in the sun, although sadly there is no guarantee it will give you the pneumatic breasts seen in the picture. Mind you, for $189 Canadian dollars (about £90), you may want to sew one of the £12 ones to your tankini. [Susi]
