I always thought that the USB plug was a bit of a dodgy interface. I mean, it's fatter than it needs to be, it's often unclear which way round it goes (especially when trying to push it in blind because your hand's under a desk and round the back of a PC), and it's too easy to push it into a LAN socket and think you've hit home.
All these new skinny USB drives like these surf board shaped SurfDrive USB flash drives. (see also the Sony Microvaults down the page) should start to make a difference to the daft USB design, hopefully!
