Virtual Dog Demands Real Exercise

Comments (2)

Vmigo I am tired of video games tricking me into exercise. First there was Dance Dance Revolution, then the EyeToy...and now the vMigo...a virtual dog that insists that you take it for walkies...for real. The virtual pet console has a pedometer built in - so it only gets exercise when you do. Plug it into the accompanying game system, and your virtual dog can play virtual games...but it's effectiveness is directly proportionate to its (and, by extension, your) healthy exercise habits.

The trick to mastering this dog video game might be to get a real dog and attach the pod to its collar. Then, when it's done running around for the day, you can take it off, connect the pod to the console, and enjoy the benefits of a well-exercised virtual pet without having to leave your sofa.
