TV chef Alton Brown (yes, I know I've mentioned him before; I have a little crush) says you shouldn't have anything in your kitchen that serves only one function. But surely even he wouldn't begrudge me a frozen-drink maker in this summer heat. The Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker shaves ice and mixes the appropriate amount into your frozen drinks for you.
With a $299 price tag, I can only hope that this drink maker also functions as a standard blender as well. Although after a few goes with it and its drink specific accessories (a shot glass and a salt rimmer) I doubt the price or the approval of TV chefs will much trouble anyone.
