Technically it's still in the Google-esque limited-test invite-only stage, but isn't Gmail still technically in beta? Picasa is branching out into letting you upload your stuff straight from the software to a nice little web gallery. Word is they'll have 250 megs for free (with advertising), with an upgrade to 6 gigs (no ads) for the very modest $25 USD a year. I have a fair number of photographer friends that'll be keen on that - which is not even getting into all the people I know with new babies. [GT]
