Mario Batlali: he's an Italian chef, a restaurateur, a TV host and, now, a tin wind-up toy with pasta flipping-action.
Although I'm not much of a cook myself, I'm quite pleased to see big name chefs become super stars and get the toy treatment. It's about time robots stopped hogging the collectible tin toy market. Besides which - if there's a Mario Batali wind-up toy - can an Alton Brown toy be far behind? (The way that man mixes science and pop culture with cooking is enough to make any geek girl swoon.)
Food Flippin Mario is available from Rocket USA.
