Let me introduce you to the Nokia 5500 Sport, designed especially for all you crazies who like nothing better than tearing round the local park when you should by rights be in the pub. The "sport" moniker isn't just down to the rubbery finish - these things are actually made from trainers (or sneakers/running shoes/daps/whatever else you may callt them. The material is the same anyway. The casing is liquid and
dirt-resistant with rubber grips and the phone itself features things like a work-out mode that
will time your runs and plan your exercise schedule, and a pedometer. There's a dedicated button for launching the music player (and a MicroSD card slot for storage).
Finally, the phone can read your texts, pedometer readings and work out info out loud to you. The 5500 Sport is available from the third quarter in Europe in a "sport" or "business" colour scheme, it should cost around £205. It sounds like it'll be out in the US as well.
