Sennheiser's "Sports Line" is the company's first range of earphones designed especially for use on the beach or for sporty activities. Apparently the range took two years to create, and it consists of seven brand-new designs. All the earphones are sweat resistant and water resistant and can be washed after you've used them. They're also tough enough to withstand a good few knocks and drops, and have been made to fit your head securely. Full run down of the range after the jump.
The MX 70 Sport (£19.99) and the MX 70 VC Sport (£24.99) are designed for joggers. The magnetic earpieces mean you can clip them round your neck, and you also get an extension cable and a case. The MX 70 VC Sport also has a volume control integrated into the cable, and the earpieces can be clipped to this too.
The £29.99 MXL 70 VC Sport (pictured top) earphones are similar, but include a cord neckband that lets you hang the phones and your music player around your neck securely. MX 75 Sport earphones (£29.99) have a case and a cable clip, and also feature a patent-pending "twist-to-fit" system. This is made up of a small "stopper" that is twisted gently into the outer ear so that the earbuds don't fall out.
The OMX 70s (pictured left) are clip-on earphones with individually adjusted ear clips and a carry case. They'll set you back £29.99.
Meanwhile, the £29.99 PMX 70 Sport neckband headphones (pictured right) are the type that never fit me properly - round the back of the neck jobbies. But apparently "their vertical transducer system ensures that they sit extremely comfortably" so maybe these ones would buck the ill-fitting trend.
And finally if you look over to your left, you'll see the £24.99 LX 70 Sport headphones. These go over the head in a headband stylee. But instead of the usual stuff, the headband here has been replaced by a thin, flexible plastic tube with a metal core. Comes with ear adapters, a cable clip and a case.
They'll be in stores from May. I need a lie down after all that - listing all of them was too much exertion for my sport-intolerant body.
